A nice little tattoo composed of the words “Let it Be” is among the most popular Beatles tattoos. This woman decided to get it inked on her lower back, right above her heart. The entire idea of this timeless song is to offer yourself with a bit of peace and let circumstances work themselves out over time.
It is no secret that John Lennon was very much into taking his mind off his own life. So he chose the music of the Beatles as an outlet for all of his thoughts, instead of his personal life.
Lennon had two children, Peter, and Yoko. He was also married three times, to actress Rosemary Clooney, to TV personality June Carter, and finally to actress Linda Evans. All of these marriages had many ups and downs. His first marriage ended because of his wife's affair with another man.
Lennon's second marriage ended too when his wife left him for the more famous Yoko Ono. He and his wife were divorced a few years later.
As well as his many marriages, John Lennon also had his share of legal issues. One of which occurred because of his involvement in a drug-abuse case. He served about two and a half years of a nine-month sentence at a prison in Scotland.
John Lennon was a fan of sports, especially football. He was a member of the English national football team for several years. He also played for the England national team during World War II. He died from cancer in 1980 at the age of twenty-two.
Lennon was born on December 8th, 1945 in New York City. He became a big fan of the Beatles, before he began to get famous. As a teenager, he would listen to them on a portable radio that he carried around with him in his pocket. One day he asked his mother if he could see his favorite band perform live.
He was then invited to sit in on one of the famous early shows in their career. John and his brother Brian were in the audience, along with their father, John Lennon. At that moment, their dad got John Lennon to sign a record that had been written by his brother. This is the first real time he ever recorded an album.
John Lennon was a highly creative writer. He wrote most of his lyrics in rhyme, and he often borrowed ideas from other sources. For example, he wrote the song “Imagine” from the poem “Oh, Maker.”
When he was a teenager, John Lennon did not care much for organized religion. He was more interested in spirituality and was a huge fan of Bob Dylan. In fact, he once said that he wanted to be like the legendary musician.
